Abdel Karim Al Saady is een van de deelnemers aan de DocuFabriek. Hij werkt aan zijn eerste korte documentaire:
"It was in 2005 when I began to work as a scrip writer officially.. Then my eyes began to capture images that I had not noticed before, and I began to hear the story as I had never heard it before. I began to analyze life scenes and focus on events and details. That day, I began to think about developing my skills in making documentary films, and I studied directing after finishing studying screenwriting, and I wrote some documentaries."
the relationship of Dina
"The connection between the souls of beings and the relationship of the law of attraction in creating a new story similar to the story that your circumstances forced you to write the ending of some time ago.. and the intersections between human and animal life.. As new residents in the Netherlands after an experience of escaping to life from death, and to peace from war, we will tell the story of our attachment to some of our previous lives and we will project that onto the relationship of Dina, the main character of the film, with the cats that she left to their fate after her and her brother Noah’s decision to flee, so that her story begins to be written anew with the cats living in the asylum site in Bruckhausen Forest after she almost forgot the pain caused by leaving her cats."

Docufabriek
Docu Fabriek is een talentontwikkelingsprogramma voor nieuwe documentairemakers in Noord Limburg. Het is een initiatief van documentairemaker Ruud Lenssen bekend van o.a. Wei, 2019 en Mijn Vader de Hasjkoning, 2022. Docu Fabriek probeert het gat tussen opleiding en werkveld te dichten. Veel beginnende documentairemakers worstelen na het afstuderen met het van de grond te krijgen van hun eerste films. Zeker buiten de randstad, waar makers wat meer op zichzelf zijn aangewezen. Daardoor vertrekt veel talent uit de regio of kiezen ze voor een ander vak. Docu Fabriek probeert dat te voorkomen. In 6 maanden tijd, met wekelijkse contactmomenten bij Co de Cultuurontwikkelaar, worden de talenten klaargestoomd voor de toekomst. De korte documentaires die de talenten aan het eind van het traject opleveren gaan in première op het nieuwe Docu Fabriek Filmfestival in 2025.
